Course Overview

General Duty Assistants (GDAs) play a vital role in the healthcare system by providing essential support to doctors, nurses, and patients. They are often the first point of contact for patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and timely assistance in hospitals, clinics, and elder care facilities.

This course is designed to equip learners with the practical skills and knowledge required to deliver high-quality patient care. It focuses on both clinical support and compassionate caregiving, preparing candidates to work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities Covered:
• Assisting patients with daily activities such as mobility, hygiene, and feeding
• Supporting nursing staff in basic medical procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas
• Monitoring patient conditions and reporting changes to healthcare professionals
• Ensuring patient comfort and emotional well-being

Course Duration:
1000 hours (240:00 Hours duration) for Classroom,
180:00 Hours Skill Lab Training
580:00 Hours of mandatory OJT
